Kingfisher

This is a card I made (at the third attempt) using all Clarity Stamps and stencils.  It's a one layer card, I used a cobolt blue pro marker round the edge to create the illusion of a mat.

I stamped the Kingfisher into the centre of the card and the 3 boxes and letters from the letterbox kit and coloured the bird with Spectrum Noir pencils.  Then using the Clarity circular aperture stencil I brushed momento Teal ink into the center after masking off the kingfisher and words.  After removing the stencil I made a wreath around the outside of the circle using the small leafy swirl stamp and some Meadow Adirondack ink.

Thanks for looking.

Black Eyed Susan

We had a very relaxing week away in the sun in May, and I took with me some of the Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir Pencils to try out. This is a Just Rite stamp stamped with Archival black ink onto some white cardstock.  It took just a little while to get the blending right with the pencils and I think I need to invest in some of the blending solution, but I was very pleased with the results.

I used a Spellbinders Die to frame the flowers and brushed some Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink around the fancy border.  I don't know if you can see it clearly enough but there is a little bee just about to land on one of the flowers.

Handbag

This is a card I made for my daughter's birthday.  Although its difficult to tell from the photo, the white background is embossed with a cherry blossom stamp from Stamps by Chloe and some white glitter wow embossing powder making a lovely sparkly background.  I used a template for the handbag and embossed this with a lattice stamp and more wow embossing powder.  The birthday sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and the beading on the handbag and small metal butterfly are both from Hobbyhouse.

For the inside I used a Sheena Douglas sentiment which came in a free pack with a recent magazine and the flower background was made using a Clarity stencil and Teal and Raspberry inks.

Thanks for looking
