A card I made for my daughter's birthday today which I couldn't publish before for obvious reasons. I saw the shoe stamp demo'd by Chloe on C&C and knew it was the stamp I needed for this birthday card. I used some lilac and purple card and embossed the front of the shoe with silver Wow embossing powder and glittered the flower. I used pearls and lilac gem embellishments.

Seasons of Mists
Seasons of Mist and mellow fruitfulness. Just getting in under the wire I think for this month's Clarity Challenge - Its all about the sentiment. I used a brayer and a big and juicy foliage stamp pad for the background, cut a trellis design with my grand caliber and attached to the background then cut a shape, coloured with the same ink pad using a brush and then stamped the sentiment in black and embossed with clear embossing power to make it stand out more. I used the pear stamp from the Clarity design club, coloured with promarkers and cut out and decoupaged to frame the sentiment Season of Mists

IndigoBlu Poppies
I've decided to have a stab at the IndigoBluChallenge this month. I don't have many of their stamps but recently purchased the blazing poppies stamp and by coincidence this months theme just happens to be flowers so I think it was meant to be. I stamped the poppies onto some cream textured card using Momento
Teal ink then coloured in the poppies, leaves, small flowers, butterfly and caterpillar with Promarkers. I clear embossed the leaves and small flowers, then masked off the poppies and shaded in the background with tumbled glass and dried marigold distress inks, my favourite colour combination. I used an IndigoBlu With Love word stamp and flourish in Teal again onto cream card and cut out using a Spellbinder die shading with dried marigold. I cut 2 butterflies using a die and shaded with tumbled glass and dried marigold and used some small gems for a butterfly trail. Finally I stamped and coloured the poppies again cut them out and used them to decoupage the base design with 2 more layers. The finished work is matted onto a piece of complementary coloured card from my cupboard and I am very pleased with the end result.

Clarity Stamp April challenge
Wednesday 1st May I was busy looking after my granddaughter and didn't have chance to look at the
Clarity Stamp Challenge results till late in the day. I was absolutely stunned to see my name there as the winner of the April challenge. This is the first time I have ever entered any sort of challenge or competition with one of my cards and I couldn't believe my luck when my number came out of the hat. I have collected quite a few Clarity stamps and thought I could make a stab at entering something for the In the Garden challenge. I stamped onto Clarity coated card using the blooming corner set for the border which I stamped using the foliage big and juicy stamp pad but blotting it first so it wasn't too bright. I stamped the window which I then masked and filled in the garden scene. I then added the verse and then masked the whole of the centre and brayered over the border with the same foliage big and juicy ink pad to make a fairly deep colour and then very feintly coloured the centre area. I then matted onto gold card and sent it off never imagining I would win the first prize, it was enough just to see something I had made in print.
