Easter Candles

Hi hope you are well and looking forward to Easter.  After studying a U Tube demo or two I've been experimenting with candle decorating and the results are below.  My 3 Easter candles are all made using Clarity Stamps only and this is my entry for the March Clarity Blog Challenge Anything but a card,

For the tallest candle I stamped the Clarity Daffodils several times onto a strip of white tissue paper and coloured with Promarkers. For all 3 candles I stamped the Happy Easter stamp all around the top of the tissue paper with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

For candle number 2 I stamped the rabbits and grasses from the Clarity Bunny set, onto a strip of white tissue paper onto which I had brushed some Stonewash and Lettuce Aderondack ink.  .

And for candle number 3 I stamped the Celtic Square which is an old Clarity Club stamp using Versamark and heat embossed using gold embossing powder.  I used the Spectrum Noir pencils to colour in parts of the Celtic Square which I think gives it a stained glass effect.

Final step is to roll the tissue paper around the candle whilst using a heat gun so the wax of the candle gentle melts and the tissue paper sticks to it.

Thanks for looking, your comments will be very welcome.  I've added the Google Friend Connect button to this blog now and it would be great if you joined.

  1. Lovely candles Stephanie. The daffodils, bunnies and 'stained glass' all epitomise Easter and springtime; and would make a beautiful gift. Thanks for entering the Clarity challenge, and good luck. Xxx
