Dahlias

A parchment card made using the following  Clarity  Groovi plates:

Jaynes Dahlias, Groovi border plate and Universal Framer plates

I etched the design on some coloured parchment and did some white work and then used
pencils to colour from behind.  I've also added some glitter to the flower petals.

I started with the Dahlias and then framed with the Universal Framer which I had to extend slightly to fit around the flowers.  I've done quite bit of piercing and snipping around the inner frame and actually feel quite pleased with the results which seem to be a bit more uniform than in the past, obviously practice does work.  I've then mounted this onto another piece of the same colour parchment using the border plate to make another frame round the outside.

This is my entry for the February Clarity Groovi competition.  Comments welcome.

3 Pussycats

Been getting a bit inky this week as I wanted to try out the Meadow Grass stamps which I bought recently from Clarity and the Entwined cat stamps also from Clarity that I love.

I stamped and heat embossed the 3 cats then cut them out and glued them onto the centre of the card after adding the paw marks onto a boarder at the bottom.

The background was created using some Adirondack inks in Sailboat blue, Lettuce and Mountain Rose and edged both pieces with a black pen.

A bit of paper piecing

A card using the Silk Ribbon Bouquet A5 stamp set which is my entry into the February Clarity World challenge.

To make the card I've used 2 papers from the Sweet Dreams paper pad.  I die cut a shape from the pink paper and stamped the bouquet with black Versmark ink and heat embossed with detail clear powder and coloured with a mix of Promarkers and Distress pens and then backed that with a slightly larger die cut in purple card.  For the individual flowers in the bouquet I stamped onto the same pattern paper I've used for the background and glued onto the main bouquet.  I used another die to create the large flower from the pink paper I've stamped the image onto.and added some die cut foliage and pearl embellishments.

Thanks for looking, as always comments really welcome.

Agapantha

A card made using the  Jayne's Agapantha plate, the Netting plate and boxes and wording from the Groovi Starter kit all from Clarity.  I started this card at a workshop with Josie Davidson and Chris Walker and finished it later at home after deciding to personalise it for my Mother in Law's birthday.  I've coloured from the back with Faber Castel pencils and added glitter to the flower.

Elephants on parade

This is my entry for the January Clarity Groovi Worldwide challenge.  To make the card I've used the following Clarity Groovi plates
Groovi Club Plate #7 Elephants
Funky Henna border plate
Straight piercing grid
Nested Squares

I cut a tag shape with a die out of coloured parchment for the central image, and a piece out of similar colour card to back it onto and the same card for under the gridwork.   For the tag  I used one of the 3 Elephants on the plate 3 times then used the Henna border plate to decorate around.  I've done some snipping  in the pattern but not sure it shows in the photo.  Distress markers on the reverse for colour and some glitter on the front to finish off.

I spent the best part of 3 afternoons working on the surrounding grid work, its not perfect by any means but was very good practice.  Hats off to those people who create such intricate grid work patterns because its really not easy.

Bunnies in the grass

Card make with the following stamps and stencils from Clarity Stamp
Picture Framer Stencil

Bunnies stamp and mask set

I used Adirondack Mountain Rose and Tumbled Glass Distress ink and a stencil brush to create the frame and then stencilled the flowers again onto separate card and cut them out to decoupage one in each corner finishing with a similar colour gem in the centre.

I've used similar colours in the central picture masking off the bunnies before stamping the vegetation with some Meadow Adirondack ink.  Unfortunately the colours don't look quite as vibrant in the photo as they do in real life.

I am entering this card into the Clarity Facebook Challenge - use an animal

Its a boy

A card for a new baby using this lovely  Lily of the Valley stamp and sentiment. I used distress inks to colour the image and matted onto some Foundations blue card and some blue and white spotted card I found in a box.  The hearts are a heart die cut in 3 different cards and decoupaged together.
